01

The situation.

The group is one of Ireland’s larger brokers, with 16 branches selling health, home, motor, life, investments and pensions. About 85% of its customers renew year after year, and roughly 30,000 of them hold just one policy. Cross-selling is a company KPI.

But the tools behind that KPI had not kept up:

  • About 4,900 cross-sell ideas sat in a Teams and Power Apps log, and nobody tracked whether they were called, or won.
  • Referral leads had been kept in a spreadsheet for 10 years, with no reminders and no view across branches.

The health team produced about 2,500 renewal letters a year, each assembled from five documents, at about 10 minutes a letter. And when a customer’s other policies were due for renewal elsewhere, nobody knew the date, so nobody called in time.

02

What we built.

One web app, three systems, built for the whole group: a cross-sell and renewals platform that reads MIG’s customer book every night, finds who is missing a product, and puts a ready-made call in front of the right advisor. Advisors stay in charge of every conversation.

6 steps · a person approves

  1. 01Source

Each night, the system reads MIG’s customer, policy and renewal data from its own systems. There are no manual exports.

  2. 02Agent

It builds one household record per customer and matches policies across the household.

  3. 03Check

It finds people who hold one product but not another, and removes anyone already covered or off-limits.

  4. 04Person

Each advisor opens a “My Day” list with a call script and a pre-drafted message. The advisor makes the call and gives the advice.

    Advisor

  5. 05Agent

After three missed calls, a compliant check-in email goes out from the advisor’s own Outlook. When a customer shares renewal dates for policies held elsewhere, the advisor diarises them, and reminders arrive 30, 15 and 7 days before each date.

  6. 06Check

Every opportunity is tracked from found, to contacted, to won.

03

How it works day to day.

Views depend on role. Advisors see their own list, branch managers see their branch, and overall managers see the group. Phase 1 covers personal motor and home.

Advisors stay in charge: the system finds the opportunity and does the chasing. The advisor makes the call, gives the advice and sends the email, from their own Outlook with compliant wording. Advice and suitability stay human.

MIG has assigned one person to work the system full-time, from 31 August.

04

The results.

  • ~10,000cross-sell opportunities found
  • ~70advisors and managers using it daily
  • 16 of 16branches live
  • 159competitor renewal dates captured as pipeline

SourceMIG handover pack (24 Sep 2026) and project calls. About 63,000 customers and 74,000 policies scanned. 159 dated renewals as of 30 Sep 2026.

  • 159 dated renewals by 30 September, up from 131 a week earlier.
  • In testing, MIG’s health team reports a renewal letter now takes 2 to 3 minutes, down from about 10.

05

How we got there.

  1. Mar to May 2026

    Health chatbot and discovery

Started with a health-lead chatbot and a callback dashboard. That first system built trust and led to a bigger question: what does each customer have, and what are they missing?

  2. Jun to Aug 2026

    Cross-sell build

Built the nightly matching engine and the advisor dashboard in phases. Rolled out branch by branch through August, with a user guide for branch staff.

  3. Sep 2026 onward

    Live across the group

Handover completed in September. About 70 advisors and managers use it daily. Health renewal letters moved into final testing, with a phased go-live over four weeks.

06

What happened next.

  • A full-time owner from 31 August.
  • Renewal dates as pipeline: 159 dated renewals on the calendar by 30 September.
  • Faster renewal letters, in testing.
  • Beyond motor and home: the same engine can extend to further product lines.

63,000 customers scanned. About 10,000 opportunities found. 16 branches live.

“I went around to four offices last week. All seem happy... the overwhelming consensus is everyone seems to be happy with it.”

Daniel Meaney, MIG (14 Sep 2026)

“They’re on the ground, they’re using it every day... overall I’m very happy... they found it very user friendly.”

Gillian O’Leary, Head of Operations, MIG (22 Sep 2026)

Tools and systems.

  • MIG’s own customer, policy and renewal systems (nightly feed)
  • Teams and Power Apps (the old ideas log)
  • Excel (the old referrals)
  • Outlook (the advisors’ own)

Bring one process your team hates. We will show you what it looks like with AI built in, and compliance in charge.

Start with a conversation.

A free 45-minute strategy call with a founder. No pitch deck. You leave knowing where AI would pay in your business, whether or not you work with us.

On the call

  1. 01Where AI would pay in your business.
  2. 02What your first system could be.
  3. 03What your AI Blueprint would cover.

Before you book

What does it cost?

Every engagement starts with the AI Blueprint, priced up front. The first system is a fixed fee, set from what the Blueprint finds. Nothing is quoted cold.

Where does our data go?

Nowhere new. It runs in secure environments, on your cloud or your own servers. Every action is logged, and nothing trains anyone else's model.

How much of our team's time does it take?

Most at the start, while we learn how the work really happens. After that, a short weekly session with the people using it.

Who owns what you build?

You do. The systems, the data, the prompts and the documentation.

Pick a time that suits you.
